TIME FOR WITHDRAWAL OF CANDIDATURE EXTENDED UPTO 8:00 PM TODAY.
Islamabad, the 15th December, 2007.— The Spokesman of the Election Commission has informed that today is the last date of withdrawal of candidature. In order to facilitate the candidates to withdraw their candidature, Mr. Justice ® Qazi Muhammad Farooq, Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has directed all the Returning Officers to accept the withdrawal applications till 8:00 PM today (15-12-2007) and to keep their offices open.
2. The Spokesman of the Election Commission has further informed that revised list of candidates will be prepared by the Returning Officers concerned, as per schedule on 16-12-2007.
