No.F.6(2)/2007.- WHEREAS, Farzana Raja, Justice ® Fakhar-un-Nisa Khokhar, Fauzia Habib, Yasmeen Rehman and Shakeela Khanum Rasheed were notified vide this Commission’s Notification of even number dated the 6th March, 2008, as returned candidates of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian from the seats reserved for women in the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab;
AND WHEREAS, the Secretary-General, PPPP vide his letter dated the 3rd March, 2008 has intimated that Farzana Raja, Justice ® Fakhar-un- Nisa Khokhar, Fauzia Habib, Yasmeen Rehman and Shakeela Khanum Rasheed have vacated their seats in the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab and the aforesaid five seats have become vacant;
AND WHEREAS, in terms of Article 8F (3) of the Conduct of General Elections Order, 2002, next five candidates on the Priority List of PPPP and list of Contesting Candidates drawn by the Returning Officer concerned on Form-V, are as under:
1. Saghira Islam
2. Azma Zahid Bukhari
3. Faiza Ahmed Malik
4. Shabina Riaz
5. Dr. Mussarat Hassan
AND WHEREAS, the next five candidates on Priority List of PPPP for the said seats, Saghira Islam, Azma Zahid Bukhari, Faiza Ahmed Malik, Shabina Riaz and Dr. Mussarat Hassan have become eligible to be elected as returned candidates; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of afore-mentioned provisions of law, the Election Commission of Pakistan hereby declares Saghira Islam W/o Ch. Muhammad Islam (Late), Azma Zahid Bukhari, Faiza Ahmed Malik, Shabina Riaz and Dr. Mussarat Hassan as returned candidates from the aforesaid vacant seats reserved for Women in the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, as per details given below:
