Islamabad, the 11th January 2016.- A letter addressed to the Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan by Mr. Imran Khan, Chairman PTI was received today in the ECP’s Secretariat, Islamabad. The PTI Chairman has called upon the ECP to provide copies of documentary record pertaining to inclusion/deletion and transfer of vote in NA-122 Lahore for the period between General Elections 2013 and bye-elections 2015.
In this context, it is clarified that the ECP is already seized of the matter in the petition of Mr. Aleem Khan and is conducting open proceedings where parties concerned are duly represented by their respective counsels. The Hon’ble Commission has therefore decided that the instant letter may be clubbed with the same petition of Mr. Aleem Khan already fixed for hearing on 19th January 2016.
