BYE-ELECTION IN NA-249 KARACHI-XI POSTPONED BY THE CHIEF ELECTION COMMISSIONER

         Islamabad, the July 23, 2007.-  At the request of Government of Sindh,  due to law and order situation prevailing in Karachi, the Chief Election Commissioner has withdrawn the Notification and postponed the bye-election in Constituency No. NA-249 Karachi-XI scheduled to be held on 25^th August, 2007, which had become vacant due to resignation of Mr. Amir Liaquat Hussain, Member National Assembly and Minister of State for Religious Affairs.
