Bye-election of NA-90 Jhang-V has been suspended

 

Islamabad, the 25th November, 2006;

 

No.F.8(13)/2005-Cord.- Pursuant to the Order passed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan dated the 22nd November, 2006 in Civil Appeal No. 2061 of 2006 (Saima Akhtar Bharwana Vs. Sahibzada Muhammad Nazeer Sultan and others), the Chief Election Commissioner has been pleased to suspend this Commission's Notification No.F.8(13)/2005-Cord(2) dated 21st November, 2005 containing the schedule for holding bye-election in Constituency No.NA-90 Jhang-V, till further order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of Pakistan.
