Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has withdrawn the Notification regarding conduct of bye-election in Constituency No. PP-280 Bahawalnagar-IV

                 Islamabad, the 23^rd December, 2006.-   In obedience of the Orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has withdrawn the Notification regarding conduct of bye-election in Constituency No. PP-280 Bahawalnagar-IV.  The Supreme Court has ordered for recounting of votes in the above constituency and has remanded back the case to the concerned Election Tribunal, Punjab.  The poll in the constituency was scheduled to be held on 13-01-2007.
