Dates for Bye-Elections in Constituencies which have become vacant due to disqualification of incumbent Members

No.F.17(1)/2012-Cord.(1)-Pursuant to the Order dated 20.09.2012, passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan, in Constitution Petition No. 05/2012 and CMA Nos. 2382, 2487, 2492, 2876 & 3446/12 Criminal Original Petition Nos. 47, 54, 65 & 71/2012 (Syed Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi Vs. Federation of Pakistan and others), in pursuance of the provisions of Section 11 of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 (LXXXV of 1976), read with Section 108 thereof and clause (4) of Article 224 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Election Commission hereby calls upon the electors of the following constituencies of National Assembly of Pakistan and Provincial Assemblies of the Punjab and Sindh, to elect a Member to fill the vacant seats from the said Constituencies, which have become vacant due to disqualification of incumbent Members from those constituencies and specifies in relation thereto, the following dates for Bye-Elections:
