Islamabad the 10th February, 2009.- Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan has said that Mr. Justice ® Qazi Muhammad Farooq, Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has ordered that appeals arising out of decisions of Returning Officers rejecting Nomination Papers shall be filed and decided by the Appellate Authorities as under:

2. Mr. K. M. Dilshad has further stated that appeals shall be in the form of a Memorandum, which shall state the date of rejection of the nomination and the grounds of appeals and shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the order rejecting the nomination. Copies of Memorandum of Appeal shall be supplied by the appellant to all other candidates for the category for which the appellant had filed Nomination Paper. The receipts thereof shall also be attached with the Memorandum of Appeal.
