Islamabad, the 21^st December, 2016:-                  The Local Government Election to the seats of Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Mayors and Deputy Mayors in District Council, Municipal Corporation, Municipal Committee Khurrianwala of Faisalabad District and in Municipal Committee Jalalpur Jattan of District Gujrat are to be held on 22.12.2016. The Election Commission of Pakistan has written a letter to the Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Islamabad, wherein, the deployment of sufficient strength of Pakistan Rangers (Punjab), inside and outside the polling stations, has been desired in order to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of Election at polling stations. The responsibility for the conduct of Local Government Election well remain with Election Commission of Pakistan.
