ECP SEEKS DECLARATION ON OATH FROM MPs

 Islamabad, the 2^nd October 2012. -  In pursuance of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan Order dated 20^th September 2012 (Syed Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi vs Federation of Pakistan through Secretary Law and others), all the Parliamentarians and Members of the Provincial Assemblies are once again reminded to submit fresh declaration on oath that they are not disqualified under Article 63(1)(c) of the Constitution.     

In this regard, the Election Commission of Pakistan has already asked and sent on 24^thSeptember 2012 the prescribed Declaration Form to the Secretaries; National Assembly, Senate, and Provincial Assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Balochistan.  

All the Parliamentarians and Members are, therefore, requested to obtain the prescribed Declaration Form from the concerned Secretary, sign it in the presence of the said Secretary who is required to send it to the Election Commission on or before              9^th October, 2012.
