ELECTED NAZIMS AND MEMBERS OF ZILA COUNCILS, TEHSIL/TOWN COUNCILS AND NAZIMS/NAIB NAZIMS AND MEMBERS OF UNION COUNCILS IN MANSEHRA, BATTRAGRAM, KOHSITAN, SHANGLA AND ABBOTTABAD OF NWFP WILL TAKE OATH OF OFFICE ON 19TH OCTOBER, 2005

Islamabad, the 15th October, 2005.- Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Federal Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan has said that since process of elections to Union Councils, Tehsil/Town Councils and Zila Councils in all the four Provinces of the country has been completed, the Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner has already announced the Schedule for taking Oath of office whereby all elected Nazims/Naib Nazims of all tiers of Local Governments will be administered Oath on 17th October, 2005 and for the purpose, Presiding Officers have already been appointed and notified for publication in the official Gazette.
2. The Federal Secretary, Election Commission further said that the Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner has been pleased to announce the Schedule for taking Oath of Office whereby Nazims and members of Zila Councils and Tehsil/Town Councils as well as Nazims/Naib Nazims of Union Councils in Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan, Shangla and Abbottabad of N-W.F.P. will take Oath of Office on 19th October, 2005.
