ELECTION COMMISSION DECIDES THE CASE OF CONSTITUENCY NO. NA-41 TRIBAL AREA-VI .

 

                Islamabad, the 7th August, 2008.- The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided the case regarding re-poll at two Polling Stations of Constituency No. NA-41 Tribal Area-VI, remanded by the Supreme Court of Pakistan vide Judgment, dated 20.5.2008 rendered in Civil Appeal No.519 of 2008 as well as two applications, dated 11.3.2008 and 25.3.2008 filed under section 103 of the Representation of the People Act, 1976, by Aziz-ul-Hasan Wazir, a contesting candidate from the same Constituency for re-poll at 12 Polling Stations.
 
2.            The Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan stated that according to the Order of the Election Commission of Pakistan, the applications filed by Aziz-ul-Hasan Wazir have been dismissed and the Order, dated 21.2.2008 for re-poll at two Polling Stations No. 60 & 62 has been reiterated and restored and the office has been directed to issue a Notification declaring Ghalib Khan Wazir as the Returned Candidate from the said Constituency.
