ELECTION COMMISSION ISSUES SCHEDULE FOR THE CONDUCT OF GENERAL ELECTIONS, 2007-08
Islamabad, the 20th November, 2007.—Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan informed that the Schedule for General Elections, 2007-08 has been issued today by the Election Commission. The stages of the Schedule commence from the Filing of Nomination papers from 21-11-2007 to 26-11-2007 and the date of Poll will be 08-01-2008. The detail of Election Schedule is as under:

2. The Secretary, Election Commission informed that the above said Election Schedule shall also apply to the seats reserved for Women and non-Muslims in the National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies of the Punjab, Sindh, NWFP and Balochistan.
3. The Secretary, Election Commission further informed that the appointments of District Returning Officers, Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers for the conduct of General Elections, 2007-08 have already been notified by the Election Commission
