ELECTION COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN ALLOCATES ELECTION SYMBOLS TO 46 POLITICAL PARTIES
Islamabad the 9th December, 2007.- Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan has informed that a Meeting of the Election Commission of Pakistan was held today, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Justice ® Qazi Muhammad Farooq, Chief Election Commissioner, for Allocation of Election Symbols to the Political Parties. The meeting was attended by the Members of the Election Commission of Pakistan Mr. Justice Nasim Sikandar, Judge Lahore High Court and Mr. Justice Ahmed Khan Lashari, Judge High Court of Balochistan. The representatives of the Political Parties were also present.
2. The names of the Political Parties and the Election Symbols allocated to them are as under:

3. The Secretary, ECP further informed that in all 54 Political Parties had submitted their applications to the Election Commission for allocation of symbols of their choice out of which the above mentioned 46 Political Parties had completed all formalities as required under the provisions of relevant laws.
