Islamabad, the 7^th April, 2016

Election Commission of Pakistan has declined the request of Provincial Government KPK for postponement of election to the seats of Nazim and Naib Nazim of District and Tehsil councils Bannu scheduled to be held today the 7^th April, 2016 on account of alleged kidnapping of Returned Candidates of PTI and Law & Order Situation. As maintenance of law and order is the responsibility of Provincial Government, hence ECP has directed Provincial Government to maintain law and order and in case any assistance from Pak Army or FC were required, it should be brought to the notice of Commission immediately.
