EXERCISE OF RIGHT OF VOTE THROUGH POSTAL BALLOT PAPERS FOR BYE-ELECTION IN CONSTITUENCY NO. PF-75 LAKKI MARWAT-II
Islamabad, December 1, 2005.- Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Acting Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has announced the last date for submission of applications by the voters of Constituency No. PF-75 Lakki Marwat-II to the Returning Officer for issuing postal ballot which is 26th December, 2005. Therefore, all such entitled persons, who are interested in casting their vote though postal ballot must apply to the concerned Returning Officer of their home town constituency by due date. Application forms are available with all Returning Officers. However, if these forms fall short, their photocopies can also be used for the purpose.
2. The Government servants, members of the armed forces, holders of public offices, their wives and such of their children as are registered as voters and residing with them, can exercise their right of vote through postal ballot. Similarly, persons detained in prisons or held in legal custody, are also entitled to vote by postal ballot.
3. The polling personnel and officials of law enforcing agencies who have been assigned duties at the polling stations can send their applications for postal ballot latest by 31st December, 2005 2005. Necessary instructions in this regard have already been issued to the Returning Officers for Bye-Election in PF-75 Lakki Marwat-II which is being held on 9th January, 2006.
