EXERCISE OF RIGHT OF VOTE THROUGH POSTAL BALLOT PAPERS FOR FRESH ELECTIONS/BYE-ELECTIONS
                        Islamabad, May 17, 2008. - Mr. Justice Qazi Muhammad Farooq, Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has announced the last date for submission of applications by the voters of the following constituencies to the Returning Officers concerned for issuing postal ballot which 10th June, 2008:

2.                     Therefore, all such entitled persons, who are interested in casting their votes through postal ballot must apply to the concerned Returning Officers of their home town constituencies by due date. Application Forms are available with the Returning Officers concerned. However, if these Forms fall short, their photocopies can also be used for the purpose.
 
3.                     The Government servants, members of the armed forces, holders of public offices, their wives and such of their children as are registered as voters and residing with them, can exercise their right of vote through postal ballot. Similarly, persons detained in prisons or held in legal custody, are also entitled to vote by postal ballot.
 
4.                     The polling personnel and officials of law enforcing agencies who have been assigned duties at the polling stations can send their applications for postal ballot latest by 15th June, 2008. Necessary instructions in this regard have already been issued to the Returning Officers concerned for Fresh Elections/Bye-Elections in the above mentioned constituencies, which is being held on 26th June, 2008.
