HEARING OF REFERENCE AGAINST MR. IMRAN KHAN, MNA WILL BE HELD ON 26TH JULY, 2007 INSTEAD OF 25TH JULY, 2007.
Islamabad, the 23rd July, 2007.- The Spokesman of the Election Commission of Pakistan has stated that Mr. Hamid Khan Advocate, learned counsel for the respondent (Mr. Imran Khan) has submitted an application for postponement of hearing of the case from 25th to 26th July, 2007 on the ground that the respondent will arrive from London late on 25th July, 2007 and as such will not be able to sign the written statement and the Power of Attorney in time.
2. The Spokesman further said that the request for extension in the date of hearing has been acceded to by the Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner and as such the hearing of the case will now be held on the 26th July, 2007.
