IN ALL 3,490 NOMINATION PAPERS HAVE BEEN FILED WITH THE RETURNING OFFICERS CONCERNED
Islamabad, the 29th November, 2007.- Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan has said that for 272 National Assembly Constituencies and 577 Provincial Assemblies Constituencies (except 7 NA Constituencies & 11 PA Constituencies of Swat/Shangla/Hangu Districts & Kurram/North Waziristan Agencies), in all 13,490 Nomination Papers have been filed with the Returning Officers concerned. 3. Kanwar Dilshad further said that Scrutiny of Nomination Papers filed with the Returning Officers has commenced from the 27th November, 2007 and would be concluded by the Returning Officers on the 3rd December, 2007.
2. The Secretary, Election Commission further informed that the Draft Code of Conduct for the Political Parties and Contesting Candidates alongwith the comments/ suggestions, as received from the Political Parties will be placed before the Election Commission of Pakistan for consideration in a Meeting with the Representatives of the Political Parties to be held shortly after receipt of their comments/suggestions.
