In pursuance of order made by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan dated 28.11.2012, the Election Commission invited all the stakeholders and heard them at length on the issue of delimitation of the concerned constituencies

 Islamabad, the 20^th December, 2012:-  In pursuance of order made by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan dated 28.11.2012, the Election Commission invited all the stakeholders and heard them at length on the issue of delimitation of the concerned constituencies. As many as 13 parties out of 16 participated. The Commission heard at length representatives of the stakeholders present and finally with the consent of the stakeholders directed as follows:-

 

“Each stakeholder will submit his views in writing accompanied by the maps showing the desired changes within a week and they promised to do the same within a week. It may be noticed that except MQM all parties agreed in principle that the delimitation be done. The Commission will thereafter proceed with the delimitation”.
