            Islamabad, the 21^st  January  2016:-      In the light of prevailing situation of threats/high alerts  to educational institutions in KPK after Charsada tragic incident took place yesterday in Bacha Khan University  where number of  persons  have been martyred in a terrorist attack and honouring  the sentiments of the nation on the occasion , the Election Commission of Pakistan has postponed  poll of Local Government bye-Election scheduled to be held on 23.01.2016 .Fresh date of poll will be fixed after normalcy report from the Provincial Government KPK.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has also extended one day for filling of nomination papers by the candidates for reserved seats in Local Councils  of  Sindh & Punjab provinces from 21^st to 22^nd January, 2016 on the request of  Provincial Government Sindh and to facilitate the candidates .
