            Islamabad, the 14^th August, 2005.-      Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Chief Election Commissioner is pleased to confer the powers of Magistrate 1^st Class to all the District Officers (Revenue) and Deputy District Officers (Revenue) in the Province of Sindh, wherever called for to perform such duties to assist the law enforcing agencies on the polling day fixed for 1^st Phase and 2^nd Phase for the purpose of peaceful conduct of Local Government Elections, 2005 and to try the offences in a summary way in accordance with the provisions  of  the  Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (Act V of 1898) relating to summary trial.
