MEETING OF SENIOR OFFICERS OF ECP IN CONNECTION WITH PREPARATION OF ELECTORAL ROLLS.
Islamabad, the 28th July, 2007.- In compliance of the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan and on the direction of the Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner, an emergent meeting of the officers of Election Commission of Pakistan was held today under the Chairmanship of Federal Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan in the Election Commission Secretariat, Islamabad. The Provincial Election Commissioners of all the four provinces and the senior officers of the Election Commission participated in the meeting.
2. The Federal Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan advised the Provincial Election Commissioners to immediately work out the modalities for undertaking another exercise for registration of voters through door-to-door enumeration.
3. The proposals/suggestions by the Provincial Election Commissioners will thereafter be placed for approval before the Election Commission in its meeting scheduled to be held at Islamabad on 1st August, 2007.
