Islamabad, the 5th July, 2006.- Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has appointed Presiding Officers for administering Oath of Office to the elected Nazims, and members of Zila Council and Taluka Councils in Ghotki District of Sindh Province.
The Chief Election Commissioner has further been pleaded to give the following Schedule for taking oath by Nazims and members of Zila Council and Taluka Councils of Ghotki District:
Zila Council 8th July, 2006

Taluka Councils
The Presiding Officers shall give Notice to the elected Nazims and members of Zila Council and Taluka Councils under their jurisdiction, as per Schedule to assemble at appointed place or places to take oath of office and shall ensure that such Notice is delivered to all persons eligible to take oath. The Notice issued by the Presiding Officers shall specify the time, date and place or places where the oath shall be administered.

EXERCISE OF RIGHT OF VOTE THROUGH POSTAL BALLOT PAPERS FOR BYE-ELECTION IN CONSTITUENCY
NO. PB-12 KILLA ABDULLAH-II
Islamabad, July 5, 2006.- Last date for submission of applications by the voters of Constituency No. PB-12 Killa Abdullah-II to the Returning Officer for issuing postal ballot is 20thJuly, 2006. All such entitled persons, who are interested in casting their vote through postal ballot must apply to the concerned Returning Officer by the due date. Application forms are available with the concerned Returning Officer.
2- Government servants, members of the armed forces, holders of public offices, their wives and such of their children, as are registered as voters and residing with them, can exercise their right of vote through postal ballot. Similarly, persons detained in prisons or held in legal custody, are also entitled to vote by postal ballot.
2. Polling personnel and officials of law enforcing agencies, who have been assigned duties at the polling stations can send their applications for postal ballot latest by 25th July, 2006. Necessary instructions in this regard have already been issued to the Returning Officer.
3. Poll in Constituency No. PB-12 Killa Abdullah-II shall be held on 5th August, 2006.
