Islamabad the 15th February, 2012:- Mr. Justice (R) Hamid Ali Mirza, Chief Election Commissioner laid down the foundation stone of a new five story block in the ECP, Secretariat, Islamabad.
The ceremony held in the secretariat of ECP, Islamabad and was attended by the Hon’ble members, the secretary, senior officers of ECP and the PWD officials.
The PWD officials briefed the commission on the construction plan of the new block confirming the completion of the project within a year.
The new block will get utilized for Federal Election Academy which would be imparting various courses like capacity building, refresher courses and training of neighboring countries, SAARC etc.
Moreover there will be offices for Hon’ble CEC, Hon’ble members, conference rooms and a guest house.
