Mr. Nisar Ahmed Durrani

Hon’ble Nisar Ahmed Durrani was born in District Hyderabad on January 1, 1957. He did his Matriculation from Hyderabad. He did M.A (Economics) from University of Sindh, Jamshoro in 1989. He completed LL.B from the University of Sindh Jamshoro in 1991. He remained practicing lawyer of District Bar/High Court Bar Council/Supreme Court from 1991 to 2011. Thereafter, he remained on different posts of District Bar Association, Hyderabad such as Joint Secretary, General Secretary & President the said bar in the year from 2002 - 2012.  He served twice as President High Court Bar Association, Hyderabad in year 2012-2013 & 2017-2018. He remained twice Member of Sindh Bar Council from Hyderabad seat for the year 2010- 2014 and for the year-2015. Then he was elected as Member Pakistan Bar Council from Sindh for the year-2016. He also remained Advocate General Sindh from January to May-2016.

He has been appointed as Member, Election Commission of Pakistan in terms of Article 213 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 from January 27, 2020  for a term of five years.
