Mr. Shah Muhammad Jatoi

Mr. Shah Muhammad Jatoi was born in District Kachhi Balochistan on October 10 1965. He did his Matriculation from Quetta. He did his M.Sc. in Physics from Balochistan University in 1990. He completed LLB from Law College, Quetta in 1993 and received his Licence from Balochistan Bar Council in 1998. He started his professional career as a Lawyer. He worked as Lawyer for 21 years. He is the senior most Lawyer of Balochistan Province. He is very capable and honest person. He took active part in Bar politics. He remained elected Member of Balochistan Bar Council (BBC) from 2015 to 2020 and also remained as Member, Enrolment Committee of BBC from 2015 to 2016. He remained President of Balochistan High Court Bar Association from 2017 to 2019. He has been appointed as Member, Election Commission of Pakistan in terms of Article 213(2B) of the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973. In pursuance of Articles 214 and 215 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, he has taken Oath of the office of Member Election Commission from Balochistan on January 27, 2020 for a term of five years. After the 18th Amendment in the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 he has been appointed as third Member ECP from Balochistan Province against this permanent constitutional post followed by Mr. Justice (R) Fazal-ur-Rehman (13.06.2011 to 13.06.2016) and Mr. Justice (R) Shakeel Ahmed Baloch (27.07.2016 to 25.01.2019).
