Islamabad, the 9th August, 2005.- Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan is pleased to notify the following Programme for holding election to the seat of Nazim/Naib Nazim, Union Council No.9, Mauza Chak Bedi, Tehsil & District Pakpattan of the Punjab Province. The Returning Officer, Union Council No.9, Mauza Chak Bedi, Tehsil & District Pakpattan, in terms of Rule 17 (1) of the Punjab Local Government Elections Rules, 2005, has terminated the proceedings relating to the election to the seat of Nazim/Naib Nazim due to death of a contesting candidate for the seat of Nazim :-

2. The persons who earlier filed their nomination papers for the seat of Nazim/Naib Nazim in the above said Union Council need not to file fresh nomination papers, if they wish to contest election to the above seat. However, the other persons desiring to contest election, will have to file their nomination papers alongwith candidature fee in accordance with law.
