(Postponed Bye Elections of PS 71 and NA 250)
Islamabad, the 28th November, 2006.- The Chief Election Commissioner has postponed bye-elections to the National Assembly of Pakistan from Constituency No.NA-250 Karachi-XII and Provincial Assembly of Sindh from Constituency No. PS-71 Dadu-I hold in abeyance the programme notified on 21st November, 2006.
Fresh dates of all stages of both the bye-elections will be notified in due course of time.
The bye-elections have been postponed on the request of intending candidates and the political parties as the polls were scheduled to be held during the period when the candidates and the voters would be out of their constituencies for performance of Hajj.
