Islamabad, the 20th September, 2007
No. F.4(1)/2007-Cord(1).- In pursuance of the provisions contained in Paragraphs 1 and 3 of the Second Schedule to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 read with clause (3) of Article 41 of the Constitution, the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan hereby issues public notification in respect of Election to the office of the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the term whereof is due to expire on the 15th November, 2007, and hereby fixes in relation thereto the following Programme for receipt of nomination papers(to be filed at different places), scrutiny of nomination papers, withdrawal of candidature, publication of the list of validly nominated candidates and about the polling day and the place of polling:

Filing of nomination papers with the Returning Officer/Presiding Officer at Islamabad and with each of the Presiding Officers at Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.
Scrutiny of nomination papers by the Returning Officer at Islamabad.
Withdrawal of candidature before the Returning Officer at Islamabad.
Publication of the list of validly nominated candidates.
Polling day and Polling time.
Place of the Poll.

NOTIFICATION
Islamabad, the 20th September, 2007
No. F. 4(1)/2007-Cord(2).- In pursuance of Paragraph 2 of the Second Schedule to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 read with clause (3) of Article 41 of the Constitution, the Chief Election Commissioner, who is Returning Officer for Election to the office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan appoints for the said Election the following Presiding Officers. The Chief Election Commissioner being Returning Officer for the said Election shall preside over the meeting of the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) in the Parliament House, Islamabad in a joint sitting on the time and date fixed for the Poll, to be held for that Election. Each of the Presiding Officers named below, shall like-wise preside over the meeting of the members of the Provincial Assembly of the concerned Province, on the time, date and place fixed for the Poll, being held for the said Election:
