Islamabad, the 22nd August, 2008
No. F. 4(1)/2008-Cord(2).- In pursuance of Paragraph 2 of the Second Schedule to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 read with clauses (3) and (5) of Article 41 of the Constitution, the Chief Election Commissioner, who is Returning Officer for Election to the office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, appoints for the said Election the following Presiding Officers:

2. The Chief Election Commissioner being Returning Officer for the said Election shall preside over the meeting of the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) in the Parliament House, Islamabad in a joint sitting on the time and date fixed for the Poll, to be held for that Election.
3. Each of the Presiding Officers named above, shall like-wise preside over the meeting of the Members of the Provincial Assembly of the concerned Province, on the time, date and place fixed for the Poll, being held for the said Election.
