Results of LG Elections 2005 In first phase completed

Islamabad, the 20th August. - Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Federal Secreatary Election Commission of Pakistan has said that Acting Chief Election Commissioner Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Judge of the Supreme Court has been pleased to state that results of Local Government Elections, 2005 in the districts of 1st Phase have since been completed and announced. Copy of the results has been placed out side the Conference Room of ECP Secretariat for inspection. Copies of the results have also been made available in offices of Returning Officers and District Returning Officers for public convinience.
2. The secretary Election Commission added that Consolidation of Results under the Local Government Elections Rules has been undertaken by all Returning Officers concerned and on reciept of Results from the Returning Officers, Official Results of all categories in Union Councils falling in the districts of 1st Phase in all the four Provinces will be published in the official Gazette by the Election Commission on 23rd August 2005, accordingly.
3. The Secretary Election Commission further said that it is for the first time that votes polled by female voters have been compiled.
