RESULTS OF L.G. ELECTIONS-2005 IN SECOND PHASE COMPLETED.

 

           

 

             Islamabad, the 27^th August, 2005.- Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Federal Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan has said that Acting Chief Election Commissioner Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Judge of the Supreme Court  has been pleased to state that Results of Local Government Elections, 2005 in the districts of 2^nd Phase have since been completed and announced.

 

 

2.         The Secretary Election Commission further said that in 2^nd Phase, the contest was in 2974 Union Councils of 54 districts from all the four Provinces and on the basis of results received from all Returning Officers, overall turn-out comes to 48.75%.

 

 

3.         The Secretary Election Commission added that Consolidation of Results under the Local Government Elections Rules has been undertaken by all Returning Officers concerned and on receipt of Consolidated Results from the Returning Officers, Official Results of all categories in Union Councils falling in the districts of 2^nd Phase in all the four Provinces will be published in the official Gazette by the Election Commission, on 30^th August, 2005.
