Returned candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (QA) from the seats reserved for women in National Assembly of Pakistan from the Punjab Province

 

Islamabad, the 15th August, 2007

 

                        No.F.6(1)/2002-Cord.- WHEREAS, Mrs. Riffat Amjad w/o Mian Amjad Yaseen was notified vide this Commission’s Notification of even number, dated the 31st October, 2002, as a returned candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (QA) from the seats reserved for women in National Assembly of Pakistan from the Punjab Province.

 

                        AND WHEREAS, due to death of Mrs. Riffat Amjad, a seat reserved for women has become vacant in the National Assembly of Pakistan.

 

                        AND WHEREAS, in terms of Article 8F (3) of the Conduct of General Elections Order, 2002, next three candidates on the party list of Pakistan Muslim League (QA) are as under:

1.                   Ms. Samina Khan Advocate

2.                   Begum Tahira Latif (Senator)

3.                   Mrs. Nasira Naseer Rana

 

                        AND WHEREAS, Ms. Samina Khan Advocate is serving in the Government of Punjab and Begum Tahira Latif has already been elected as Senator from the Federal Capital Islamabad, the next candidate on priority list of Pakistan Muslim League (QA) for the said seat, Mrs. Nasira Naseer Rana w/o Rana Ali Naseer has become eligible to be elected as returned candidate.

 

                       NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of afore-mentioned provision of law, the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan hereby declares Mrs. Nasira Naseer Rana W/o Rana Ali Naseer nominee of Pakistan Muslim League (QA) as returned candidate from the aforesaid vacant seat reserved for women in the National Assembly of Pakistan, as per details given below:
