No.F.6(2)/2007.- WHEREAS, Tahira Aurangzeb W/o Raja Aurangzeb, Nighat Parveen Mir W/o Muhammad Iqbal Butt, Khailda Mansoor W/o Khalid Bashir (Late), Shahnaz Saleem W/o Muhammad Saleem Malik and Parveen Masood Bhatti W/o Muhammad Masood Bhatti were notified vide this Commission’s Notification of even number, dated the 6th March, 2008, as returned candidates of Pakistan Muslim League (N) from the seats reserved for Women in the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab.
AND WHEREAS, due to resignations of Tahira Aurangzeb, Nighat Parveen Mir, Khailda Mansoor, Shahnaz Saleem and Parveen Masood Bhatti, five seats reserved for Women have become vacant in the Provincial Assembly of Punjab.
AND WHEREAS, in terms of Article 8F (3) of the Conduct of General Elections Order, 2002, next five candidates on the Priority List of candidates provided by Pakistan Muslim League (N) and the list of Contesting Candidates drawn by the Returning Officer concerned on Form-V are as under:
1. Shagufta Sheikh
2. Rehana Ejaz
3. Nighat Nasir Sheikh
4. Rahat Ajmal
5. Rehana Hadees
AND WHEREAS, the next five candidates of Priority List of Pakistan Muslim League (N) for the said seats, Shagufta Sheikh W/o Moin-ud-din, Rehana Ejaz W/o Ijaz Ahmed, Nighat Nasir Sheikh W/o Sh. Muhammad Nasir Gulzar, Rahat Ajmal W/o Ghulam Muhiyudin Ajmal and Rehana Hadees D/o Raja Hadees Anwar have become eligible to be declared as returned candidates.
NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of afore-mentioned provisions of law, the Election Commission of Pakistan hereby declares Shagufta Sheikh W/o Moin-ud-din, Rehana Ejaz W/o Ijaz Ahmed, Nighat Nasir Sheikh W/o Sh. Muhammad Nasir Gulzar, Rahat Ajmal W/o Ghulam Muhiyudin Ajmal and Rehana Hadees D/o Raja Hadees Anwar as returned candidates from the aforesaid vacant seats reserved for Women in the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, as per details given below:
