SENATORS AND MEMBERS OF NATIONAL AND PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLIES TO FILE THEIR YEARLY STATEMENTS OF ASSETS AND LIABILIES BY 30TH SEPTEMBER, 2005

Islamabad, the 28th September, 2005.- Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Secretary Election Commission has once again drawn attention of Hon’ble Members of the Senate, National assembly and Provincial Assemblies to the provisions of Section 42A of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 and Section 25A of the Senate (Election) Act, 1975 whereby they are required to submit to the Election Commission, yearly statements of assets and liabilities of their own, their spouses and dependents by 30th September, 2005. Law does not provide for extention in filing time The statements received from Hon’ble Members shall be published in the official Gazette.
2. Secretary, Election Commission has further stated that prescribed forms are available, free of cost, from the Election Commission Secretariat, Islamabad and offices of Provincial Election Commissioner. Forms are also available on the website of Election Commission http://www.ecp.gov.pk
