SPECIAL TEAMS DEPUTED BY THE CHIEF ELECTION COMMISSIONER TO MONITOR THE POLLING PROCESS OF BYE-ELECTIONS TO BE HELD ON 10TH FEBRUARY, 2007.

Islamabad, the 8th February, 2007.- Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad, Federal Secretary, Election Commission of Pakistan has informed that in order to Conduct free and fair Elections in constituencies No. NA-250-Karachi-XII and PS-71-Dadu-I, Mr. Justice (R) Qazi Muhammad Farooq, Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan, has deputed senior officers of the Election Commission of Pakistan to observe the process of polls on 10th February, 2007. These teams will visit the polling stations and report the progress and the Law & Order situation, during the process, to the Chief Election Commissioner through the Provincial Election Commissioner, Sindh. The monitoring teams will also submit the report after polling of bye-elections for perusal by the Chief Election Commissioner.
The Secretary has further informed that International and National Observers teams will also monitor the polling process on the polling day.
