The Chief Election Commissioner calls upon the Members of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh to elect to the Senate one Member from that Province against the Seat Reserved for Ulema and Technocrats

                   No.F.9(1)/2009-Cord (1). The Chief Election Commissioner, in pursuance of clause (5) of Article 224 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan read with section 10 and 77 of the Senate (Election) Act, 1975 (LI of 1975), hereby calls upon the Members of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh to elect to the Senate one Member from that Province against the Seat Reserved for Ulema and Technocrats, which has fallen vacant with effect from the 21st July, 2009 on account of resignation tendered by Dr. Javaid Laghari and fixes in relation thereto, the following dates for the nomination of candidates, the scrutiny of nomination papers, last date for withdrawal of candidature and for the taking of the poll at the place noted below:
