The Chief Election Commissioner has postponed the date of Poll for Bye-Election in the Constituency NA-123

 

Islamabad, the 10th June, 2009

 

No. F. 8(1)/2009-Cord .- In continuation of this Commission's Notification  of even number, dated the 5th June, 2009, containing the date of Poll for Bye-Election in Constituency No.NA-123 Lahore-VI; in pursuance of the provisions of Article 6 of the Election Commission Order, 2002, Section 11A of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 (LXXXV of 1976) and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Chief Election Commissioner is pleased to postpone the date of Poll for Bye-Election in the aforesaid constituency till further orders, in view of the Report, dated the 8th June, 2009 received from the Chief Secretary, Government of the Punjab, Lahore regarding volatile law and order situation particularly as to serious threats of terrorists attacks.
