No.F.8(5)/2009-Cord (1).- Pursuant to the Order dated the 1st September, 2009 of the Supreme Court of Pakistan passed in Civil Appeals No. 856 of 2009 (Muhammad Rauf Khalid Vs Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq etc) and No. 857 of 2009 (Muhammad Rauf Khalid Vs Muhammad Nasrullah etc.) maintaining the Judgment dated 10-6-2009 passed by the Lahore High Court, Lahore in Writ Petitions No. 1479/2008 and 1480/2008, in pursuance of the provisions of Section 11 of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 (LXXXV of 1976), read with Section 108 thereof and Clause (4) of Article 224 and Article 254 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Chief Election Commissioner hereby calls upon the electors of the Constituency No. PP-284 Bahawalnagar-VIII of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, to elect a Member to fill the seat from the said Constituency, which has become vacant due to disqualification of Mr. Muhammad Rauf Khalid, Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab and specifies in relation thereto, the following dates for Bye-Election:
