The Election Commission of Pakistan calls upon the members of National Assembly from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas to elect to the Senate four Members against general seats

            No.F.3(1)/2012-Cord(3).-  In pursuance of section 10 of the Senate (Election) Act, 1975 (No.LI of 1975) read with clause (3) of Article 59 and clause (3) of Article 224 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the States and Frontier Regions Division Notification SRO No.746(1)/75 dated the 7th July, 1975, the Election Commission of Pakistan hereby calls upon the members of National Assembly from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas to elect to the Senate four Members against general seats, in place of the Members of the Senate, who are due to retire after the expiration of their term of office on 11th March, 2012 and fixes, in relation to, the following dates for the nomination of candidates, the scrutiny of nomination papers, filing of appeals, disposal of appeals, withdrawal of candidature and for the taking of the poll at the place noted below:

Public Notice by Returning Officers inviting Nomination Papers

11-02-2012

 

(b)

Filing of nomination papers by the candidates with the Returning Officers

13-2-2012 to 14-2-2012

(Between 0900 hours and 1600 hours)

(c)

Scrutiny of nomination papers

16-2-2012 & 17-2-2012

(From 1000 hours to 1600 hours)

(d)

Filing of appeals against rejection of nominations  with the Secretary or Members Election Commission upto

20-2-2012 & 21-2-2012

 (From 0900 hours to 1600 hours)

(e)

Disposal of appeals by the Chief Election Commissioner or by the Member Election Commission on

22-2-2012 & 23-2-2012

 

(f)

Last date for withdrawal of candidature
