The Election Commission of Pakistan calls upon the Members of National Assembly to elect to the Senate one Member against general seat and the other Member against the seat reserved for Technocrats including Ulema from the Federal Capital

No.F.3(1)/2012-Cord(2).- In pursuance of section 10 of the Senate (Election) Act, 1975 (No.LI of 1975) read with clause (3) of Article 59 and clause (3) of Article 224 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Senate (Election of Members from the Federal Capital) Order, 1988 (P.O.No.3 of 1988), the Election Commission of Pakistan hereby calls upon the Members of National Assembly to elect to the Senate one Member against general seat and the other Member against the seat reserved for Technocrats including Ulema from the Federal Capital in place of the Members of the Senate, who are due to retire after the expiration of their term of office on 11th March, 2012 and fixes, in relation thereto, the following dates for the nomination of candidates, the scrutiny of nomination papers, filing of appeals, disposal of appeals, withdrawal of candidature and for the taking of the poll at the place noted below:
