The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the Schedule to fill the vacant seat reserved for women in the National Assembly of Pakistan due to the resignation tendered by Begum Sabeen Rizvi, MNA of PML (Nawaz)

 Islamabad, the 21st December, 2012:- The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the Schedule to fill the vacant seat reserved for women in the National Assembly of Pakistan due to the resignation tendered by Begum Sabeen Rizvi, MNA of PML (Nawaz) and in connection therewith appoints the following dates for determination of qualification of prospective candidates:

2-         The Election Commission of Pakistan has also appointed Mr. Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Director in the office of  Provincial Election Commissioner, Punjab holding current charge of the post of Joint Provincial Election Commissioner, Punjab, Lahore as Returning Officer for receiving Nomination Papers for the purpose of determining the qualification of prospective candidates for the seat reserved for women in the National Assembly of Pakistan, fell vacant due to resignation tendered by Begum Sabeen Rizvi, MNA of PML(Nawaz).

3-         Pakistan Muslim League (N) shall, within the period provided for submission of Nomination Papers, file additional List of the candidates in order of priority to fill the vacant seat in the National Assembly of Pakistan with the Returning Officer concerned, in accordance with the provisions of section 47A (1) of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 as provided under Article 224(6) of the Constitution.
