No.F.9(1)/2013-Cord (1)., In pursuance of clause (5) of Article 224 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan read with sections 10 and 77 of the Senate (Election) Act, 1975 (Act No. LI of 1975), the Election Commission of Pakistan hereby calls upon the Members of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh to elect to the Senate a Member from that Province against a seat reserved for Technocrats including Ulema, which has fallen vacant, due to resignation tendered by Senator Mr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and fixes in relation thereto, the following dates for the nomination of candidates, the scrutiny of nomination papers, last date for withdrawal of candidature and for the taking of the poll at the place noted below:
