Islamabad, the 6th January 2016.- The Election Commission of Pakistan is pleased to announce the 2nd Pilot Project of GIS Polling Stations on Google Maps for Bye-Election NA-218 (Matiari cum Hyderabad) that is scheduled on 18th January, 2016.
The project of GIS Polling Station on Google Map is devised to help the general public for finding their respective polling station on Google Satellite Map that navigates the voter to see his/her Polling Station location along with the building photograph.
The ECP is committed to perform multiple Pilot Projects by scaling up its magnitude to gauge further results. This technology will certainly give transparency and also increase the overall efficacy of the systems.
