(The Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has announced the schedule for By-Elections in one constituency of National Assembly, NA-123 Lahore-VI and two Provincial Assembly constituencies PP-82 Jhang-X and PP-284 Bahawalnagar-VIII)
Islamabad, the 12th January, 2010.- The Hon’ble Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan has announced the schedule for By-Elections in one constituency of National Assembly, NA-123 Lahore-VI and two Provincial Assembly constituencies PP-82 Jhang-X and PP-284 Bahawalnagar-VIII. The constituency NA-123 Lahore-VI has become vacant under Article 223 of the Constitution, while the constituency PP-284 Bahawalnagar-VIII has become vacant due to disqualification of Mr. Muhammad Rauf Khalid, MPA of the Punjab Assembly and the constituency No.PP-82 Jhang-X has become vacant due to resignation tendered by Mian Azam Chela, MPA of the Punjab Assembly.
