On the basis of experience in 11th May, 2013 General Elections and for administrative reasons, the Returning Officers have made certain changes in the assignment of voters to the polling stations which may have resulted in the change of polling locations of certain voters in all the 42 constituencies where bye-elections are being held tomorrow i.e. 22nd August, 2013

The Election Commission has once again drawn attention of Political Parties to the provisions of Article 13 of the Political Parties Order, 2002 which provides that every political party shall submit to the Election Commission, within 60 days from the close of each financial year, a consolidated statement of accounts of the party, duly audited by a Chartered Accountant. The last date for filing statement of accounts by Political Parties is 29th August, 2013
